This was discovered on a recent trip to Cleveland, Ohio. This mom found a great place to build a nest for her young on the Steamship William G. Mather.

It’s no secret to those who know me that I am from Detroit, love the D, and go back whenever  can. Detroit is a city on the threshold of change. A city, who’s former glory days literally drove our country to greatness, is now in the process of reinventing itself once again.

Growing up there so many years ago was a charmed childhood. I walked to school, had the freedom to play anywhere in the neighborhood, and was busy with the life of a kid. Only stipulation was you had to be home when the streetlights came on. FREEDOM

A lot has changed in our world since those days … but, freedom is still a basic desire. Freedom to live, dream, invent, re-invent, and help everyone achieve greatness.

Want to do something good … the Georgia Street Community is all about helping people achieve greatness. You can read about what they are doing on their blog … but more importantly, you can donate to help students take a trip this year or to add ductwork and a furnace to the new community center.

I challenge you to donate the cost of one tank of gas to a great cause in the Motor City. The freedom to drive provides the freedom to dream.
