Amazing people accomplish amazing things … especially when they work together. We have a chance to aid the people who lost everything in the recent tornados across the South. I know that our first instinct is to pray, feel sorry, and wonder how we are supposed to help when we aren’t there. Then we forget about it and go on with our own lives.
Here is your chance to BE the CHURCH! Casey Graham of Giving Rocket and a few others came together and dared to dream that they could raise $10,000 in 24 hours. God blessed the vision and gave them $100,000. Then the vision became 100 churches giving 10% of their weekend offering to PROVIDE HOPE for the Lost, the Least, & the Lonely.
This from giving rocket blog:
The news is covering mainly Tuscaloosa and Birmingham and tons of teams are there. We are focusing on the Lost, the Least, & the Lonely - people without insurance or who are under insured. We are going to smaller towns and low income areas that don’t have the news reporting on them right now.
We are providing immediate relief to people on the ground through Gift Cards and buying stuff they need immediately.
Our strategy is unfolding quickly. The money will be given for immediate needs but as we raise more we are going to dive DEEP with families and adopt them in and help them with everything.
That Ladies and Gentlemen, is BEING the CHURCH.
You can help NOW! Go to giving rocket blog to donate immediately or, if you are in the Clarksville area, come to Grace Community Church this Sunday and give generously. We are partnering in the Tornado Tithe Challenge to bring relief and hope to people.
