I got home from work last Thursday to find water running out from around the front door … roughly two inches of water was rushing through the house. A pipe burst in the laundry room and needless to say, took Spring cleaning to a whole new level. The force of water is unbelievable! Now the clean-up/salvaging process is taking place. Not the way I thought I was going to spend the last few days, but all-in-all what can one do?
I am thankful for the fact that it was only possessions that were lost. Unlike the coinciding earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan killing thousands of people. How could I ever complain about the inconvenience of cleaning up water damage to a small house, when so many lost their own lives or the lives of precious loved ones? Really puts things in perspective, don’t you think?
